How to Choose Child Care
The following checklist has been developed with home safety in mind. You may wish to print copies of this list.
If you are planning to print multiple copies of this checklist, you can also use the black and white version.

Electrical appliances, clocks, vaporizers, razors, heaters, perfumes, matches etc. out of reach Cords from curtains and blinds should be stored well above beds, couches, stairs etc.
Caregiver has a current CPR/First Aid certificate. (Ask to see it.) Caregiver regularly attends educational training workshops, courses and networking opportunities. (Ask to see copies of certificates they have obtained, or ask when they last attended a training/networking session.)
Umbrella plant, ivy, poinsettia, mistletoe, Dieffenbachia, oleander, elephants ear, dumbcane, cyclamen, avocado, asparagus fern. Most plants growing berries are poisonous. Call the Ontario Regional Poison Information Centre Toronto for comprehensive information: 1-800-268-9017.
