Professional Development and Education Resources in the City of Hamilton
Under the Co-ordinated Access for Child Care model, Affiliated Services for Children and Youth (ASCY) has the lead responsibility for co-ordinating professional education for the early learning and child care sector and the broader community. This includes professional education that meets the needs of early learning and child care professionals such as: front line staff, supervisors, administrative and support staff and home child care practitioners.
To assist the community, caregivers and early learning and child care professionals to access current information, ASCY maintains a calendar of professional education opportunities on its website.

In the City of Hamilton a course of study, leading to a diploma in Early Childhood Education, is offered by Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology. Other child and family related studies are also offered through the College.
Conferences and other professional development opportunities are available through the Association of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario.
